GATEway members are invited to a very special talk at B'nai Israel Synagogue on October 30th, 2010 at 5 p.m., exploring different approaches to education 
and sharing the educational passion of 3 congregation members. Dr. Paul 
Epstein is executive director of Rochester Montessori School. Paul has been 
involved in Montessori education for many years, and is the co-author of 
'The Montessori Way.' Dr. Ann Epstein is currently an assistant professor 
at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the Department of Educational 
Studies. Ann teaches and does research in many areas of early childhood 
education. Together Ann and Paul will help with the question: 'The Montessori
Way: Could This Reconstitute Our Schools?' Wendy Behrens serves as the
Gifted and Talented Education Specialist for the Minnesota Department of Education. She is also the program chair for the annual Hormel Foundation Gifted and Talented Education Symposium. Wendy will share with us 'The Five Simple Truths About Gifted Education.' 

This event is open to members of the BIS congregation and to members of the 
public invited by BIS members. Members of the public must call in ahead of 
time to RSVP and provide their names due to space considerations. The event
