invite you to join us for a fun and educational evening learning about
bees at Quarry Hill! Quarry Hill is installing a new bee exhibit Earth
Day weekend and has some new bee programs for us to enjoy. Activities
will be geared toward elementary school aged children. Younger siblings
are welcome.
You do not need to be a GATEway member to attend.
Your children do not need to be in a gifted program or receiving gifted
services to participate.
Parents must attend with their children.

The evening is free for members and $5 per family for non-members.

- 6:30 Check in and select sessions.
- 6:45 Brief GATEway informational session.
- 7:00-7:45
and 7:50-8:30 Quarry Hill naturalist led sessions. You will have the
choice of attending two of the following three options:
- Honeybee Survival Game Board – This is an outdoor activity. Dress for the weather.
- Honeybee
101 – Learn about honeybee anatomy and hive roles. Make a beeswax
candle and taste some honey. This is an indoor activity.
- Bee
Keeping and Hive Life – Meet a beekeeper and see how their equipment
works. This is an outdoor activity. Dress for the weather.
