GATEway is the Rochester Chapter of the Minnesota 
Council for the Gifted and Talented,
a statewide not-for-profit organization that advocates for educational services for gifted 
and talented students.

Become a fan by "liking" us to receive news about issues and events through Facebook. Get the news a little more frequently, but in a shorter format and in a more timely fashion.

Emails will still go out as usual, when there is a pressing need for advocacy, and for occasional mini-newsletters with event news and progress reports.

2. You are invited to join us for our next Board Meeting on Thursday, March 7th from 6:30-8:00 PM, in the Northrop Community Education Center Room 306. You do not need to be a member to attend. Our meetings are fairly informal - feel free to come as you are able and leave when you need to. Please share with any friends you think might be interested!

Mark your calendars for the rest of the 2018-2019 Board Meetings (but check here or on Facebook for any changes to time or place):

  • Thursday, March 7 from 6:30-8:00 PM - Northrop Room 306
  • Monday, April 8 from 3:30-5:00 PM - Edison 3rd Floor Conference Room
  • Thursday, May 2 from 6:30-8:00 PM - Northrop Room 306

3. Note that MCGT/GATEway membership fees have increased as of 01/01/2019. Membership is now $40 for one year or $75 for two years. This is the first rate increase in quite a few years. While you do not need to be a member to attend our programs and meetings, members enjoy the benefit of early notification and free or reduced fees for most programs. Most importantly, membership adds to our voice in advocating for our gifted children. Join
